Take a Hike
The first Saturday of every June is National Trails Day organized nationwide by the American Hiking Society, a national nonprofit trail advocacy group based in Washington, DC. Check your local paper or conservation organization for special events like new trail dedications, workshops and guided naturalist hikes.
